About Omra...

Since many of you are interested in some background information about my characters, I decided to post a character template for my newest guy Omra. So if you belong to those, that are not interested, you might as well skip this journal.



So... Omra... yes...

FULL NAME: Ómra Fiáin
MEANING: It means "Wild Amber".
NICKNAME: None actually.
ACTUAL AGE: 38 years old.
RESIDENCE: Aspera, Nevirh.
AGE APPEARANCE: Younger than he is, something in his mid twenties perhaps.
SPECIES: Half human, half Helmorui (dark elven race).
GENDER: Male
SEXUAL PREFERANCE: Heterosexual.
MARITAL STATUS: Single.
KIDS: None.
OCCUPATION: Weapon smith, fighter.

APPEARANCE

HAIR COLOR: White.
HAIR STYLE AND LENGTH: Long and rather thick / much, he mostly wears a ponytail.
EYES COLOR: Golden.
HEIGHT: About 1,90m.
ABNORMALITIES(TAIL): No, none.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS(SCARS,MOLES): Some floweresque tattoos on arms, torso and shin / foot.
SELF CARE(MAKE UP): He cares but he is not super duper vain... but very clean.
FIRST IMPRESSION ON PEOPLE: A little weird I think. He is actually rather shy but always friendly and extremely calm.
SKIN COLOR: Dark brown.
BODY TYPE/BUILD: Rather built and muscular with broad shoulders but still more slender than a human would be. Imagine him like an elf who is a little "too bulky" maybe.
DEFAULT EXPRESSION: Serious.
PIERCINGS: Three silver rings in his right ear.
DESCRIBE THEIR VOICE: Male and dark, soothing, a voice that you enjoy listening to. Since I was listening to poems which have been read by the great actor Ron Perlman when I created this guy, he sort of got Rons voice now.
WEAPON OF CHOICE: A single longblade, one handed.

PERSONALITY

..WHEN YOU FIRST MEET THEM: Respectful and rather shy.
..AS YOU KNOW THEM BETTER(AND THEY LIKE YOU): Even more shy!
..AS YOU KNOW THEM BETTER(AND THEY DISLIKE YOU): He simple ignores those he does not like.
POSITIVE CHARACTERISTICS: Very helpful and absolutely calm. It takes a lot to get him angry.
NEGATIVE CHARACTERISTICS: Well, being calm and shy is not always positive... he mssed many opportunities in life because of this. Also he is very sensitive to ... well... he wants to be treated like a man and not like the interesting thing with the weird eyes that must have a story to tell... if that makes sense. See him as Omra and not as... a weird looking man.
FAVORITE COLOR: Warm colors in general.
FAVORITE FOOD: Meat.
FAVORITE ANIMAL: Rufus! (His dog)
FAVORITE INSTRUMENT: Ulean pipe.
FAVORITE ELEMENT: Water.
LEAST FAVORITE COLOR: Actually... as so many men... he does not spend thoughts on this.
LEAST FAVORITE FOOD: he pretty much eats everything eatable.
LEAST FAVORITE ANIMAL: Mice. he is not afraid of them but they are annoying when they are inside the house.
LEAST FAVORITE INSTRUMENT: None that I know of.
LEAST FAVORITE ELEMENT:I have no idea!
HOBBIES: Training. he works three nights a week in a tavern to earn extra money so he can afford to be taught by one of the best fighting teachers in Aspera. Other than that... he reads.
USUAL MOOD: Rather serious but friendly.
DRINK/SMOKE/DRUGS: A good beer every now and then.
SOFT SPOT/VULNERABILITY: His eyes are good but actually still very sensitive to light, even though he grew up on the surface and he has never seen the underdark. Also - where he lives there is a lot of snow and this does not make it easier for him.
OPINION ON SWEARING: He rarely does.
MUSIC TYPE: Not too wild.
COMFORTABLE TEMPERATURE: Rather warm, he freezes easily.
SLEEPING PATTERN: He usually gets up very early as his days are long.... the forge, training, working...
CLEANLINESS/NEATNESS: Absolutely clean.
DESIRED PET: He has a dog called Rufus.
HOW DO THEY PASS TIME: Working and learning... his days are rather long and there is not much time for relaxing for him.
BIGGEST SECRET: His origins actually. His mother dies in child bed a few days after he was born and his father he never met. It id for sure though that he he dead. he came from Dawarda, a Helmorui (dark elf) and as far as OMra knows, he must have been running away from something or someone.
WHAT ANIMAL WOULD THEY BE: A big wolf I guess.
FEARS:  He is afraid of never finding out about his origins. The Helmorui are not officially on the surface yet.
DRUNK TYPE: He gets slow and sleepy.
DONE ANYTHING TO GET IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW: No.

ROMANCE

DO THEY TAKE INITIATIVE: No, not at all. he is too shy.
HOW DO THEY ACT(SHY,ETC): Shy shy shy!
GENTLEMAN/LADYLIKE VS KLUTZY: A true gentleman.
GO SLOW VS JUMP INTO: Ummm... slow I guess.... since... ummm....
TRUE LOVE VS TESTING DIFF PEOPLE: He does not believe in the one and only true love since he is an outsder in human society. They accept him but they do not really respect him if that makes sense. He is welcome as the good smith that he is but not as the man with needs. So forget the" testing out" too.
PROTECTIVE: Yes.
WHAT KIND OF PRESENTS DO THEY BUY: Thoughtful ones.
TYPE OF KISSER: Careful and actually very gentle.
DO THEY WANT KIDS: No.
ARE THEY ROMANTIC: I imagine he is. he never had a chance to prove it though.
HOW ARE THEY IN BED: Here is the truth... in bed? What?
TOYS?: No.

So.... that was it... a little information about Omra. Rather boring life, eh? No adventures, not even sex. He is a common smith, an outsider, a simple man but a good one. His time will come.
