Mice.... and even more mice

Oh the joys of living with a cat.

I am used to finding mice in front of my door and in my garden... brought to me by my cat Hektor.

It is rather new though that he brings them inside.... which would also be no problem if they actually were.... dead. They are not however. So imagine all the fun he is having with them - inmidst my living room! Imagine me throwing away their dead bodies, often with missing body parts... Imagine me wiping away their blood and collectiong mouse-pieces.... imagine me doing this at 2am or right when I came home from work.... No fun, I tell you.... but I can loive with that.... because I love hektor and his gifts are the ultimate expression of his love for me. Yes, I understand that.

Last night however... he went a step to far.... guess where he threw a living mouse at.... he brought it into my bed! Can you imagine, Mavrosh squeeking like a pig, jumping out of her bed while the poor little creature tried to rescue itself under my blanket...

To make a long story short - Hektor lost his interest into the mouse after a while which caused that it dissappeared somewhere in my apartment, I could not sleep bevcause of that but also I could not find the cute beast. I even called a friend, we searched for it together and after we saw a dead mouse right in front of my window, we thought, there you go, this is it.

But this was not it. The little thing inside my apartment was caught today, as it tried to steal some cat food. I knew my cat was outside so hearing this noise of an eating animal told me - intruder alert!

So yeah.... mice.... and as a result - two sleepless people, two dead mice and a cat who does not understand that his precious gifts do not belong underneath my blanket while I wish to sleep. While last night I was not amused at all, I now laugh out loud when I think about this!
